  5. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
  6.  
  7. IBM PC, XT, AT, PS/2(TM), Tandy and 100% compatibles with 512K RAM and
  8. CGA, EGA, MCGA, VGA or Tandy 16-color graphics. Hard disk recommended.
  9.  
  10. Supports optional AdLib(TM) Music Synthesizer Card,
  11. Creative Labs Game Blaster(TM) and Sound Blaster(TM) Cards,
  12. Roland MT-32 Sound Module and Roland LAPC-1 Sound Card.
  13.  
  14. FLOPPY DISK OPERATION
  15.  
  16. After booting your system, insert the preview disk into floppy drive A,
  17. type A: at the DOS prompt and press ENTER. When you see the A> prompt,
  18. type LOOMDEMO and press ENTER again to view the preview.
  19.  
  20. HARD DISK OPERATION
  21.  
  22. Create a subdirectory called LOOMDEMO. Copy the LOOMDEMO.EXE file and all
  23. of the .LFL files into this new subdirectory.
  24.  
  25. To view the preview, enter the LOOMDEMO subdirectory, type LOOMDEMO
  26. at the DOS prompt and press ENTER.
  27.  
  28. SETTING PREFERENCES
  29.  
  30. The preview will automatically select the best graphics mode for your
  31. computer. It will also check to see if you have an AdLib(TM), Game
  32. Blaster(TM) or Sound Blaster(TM) board installed, and select the
  33. appropriate sounds to play. If you wish to override the automatic
  34. settings, add one or more of the following letters (separated by spaces)
  35. after the word LOOMDEMO when you start the preview:
  36.  
  37. c    CGA graphics
  38. e    EGA graphics
  39. m    MCGA graphics
  40. v    VGA graphics
  41. t    Tandy 16-color graphics
  42.  
  43. i    Internal speaker sound
  44. a    AdLib/Sound Blaster sound
  45. g    Game Blaster sound
  46. r    Roland MT-32/LAPC-1 sound
  47.  
  48. For example, to start the preview with CGA graphics and AdLib sounds,
  49. type LOOMDEMO A C at the DOS prompt.

  51.      * IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ROLAND MT-32/LAPC-1 USERS *
  52.  
  53. You MUST include the letter r after the word LOOMDEMO to reliably
  54. activate your MT-32 or LAPC-1 hardware. Simply type LOOMDEMO R after
  55. the DOS prompt.
